Memo , Yukinobu Shimabukuro was introduced in France the style Uechi-ryū in 1986 and participates actively in its development in Europe. He is the author of "Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do - History and Kata" published in 2010, and was recently honored by receiving the town of Carrières sur Seine medal of merit.
