Brunswick Bowling 29.99 Coupon

The children found themselves in a Halloween typical English and American, thanks to Margot and Suzanne whom we thank. As you can see the pumpkins were carved and lit, then the children have enjoyed and we continued with the game of witch where adults and children were willing to play the game
One last game with a pick apples in the water and sweets in flour put the president in a strange state! Finally ridicule does not kill!
Thanks also to Florence for a beautiful witch.
And next year.

End of 2009 season for our IF

And yes, unfortunately the season ended for us!
SI closed its doors Sept. 15, but you can always call us at 02.51.30.85.85 and leave us your messages.

I want to thank for this second season (for me), our adviser Nicole staying still available, painters and Mrs GUIOT mercenaries, the hunting society of St Benoist sur Mer and the hunting federation vendee, which allowed us to have a nice exhibition this year. A final thanks not least because without you, Dimitri I could not type this message on this beautiful blog as well as that of the mayor, we will not fail to feed.

I give you this winter by appointment on the blog to inform you of various events that we put in place, I hope (your ideas are welcome).
And of course the ultimate appointment for next season in our new premises.

Legends of Saint-Benoit-sur-Mer

table Jacques Larocque-Latour

"tired traveler lets the horse Mallet as he quickly hopped once to train yourself to Eternity "
D years isolated farms, lately, we recounted the frightening and magical legends.
Everywhere reigned after sunset, fear. Long wizards and mythical creatures haunted the marsh and fields of the Vendée.
The Vendee is truly a department where the supernatural is in full swing: beast that devours the beauty of girls (Angles), ghost children who haunt their sinister howls castle ruins of their killers, the shameless Gilles de Rais called "Bluebeard" (Tiffauges), or that pack a frenzied flurry gives rise to the underworld and passes some windy days in the skies over St. ... Sornin

At Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer it was not good to linger after nightfall ...

The horse of evil

When the darkness invades the streets of Saint-Benoit, then arises, a special horse with white fur and shiny, sealed and bound - is the horse Mallet.
It comes at night for vagrants at night, makes them climb on his back and carries them into a frenzied stampede toward the kingdom of the dead ...
To protect themselves, then wear around his neck a medal of St. Benoist also called "Cross Stone" that repels negative influences.
past, a procession of people coming in spring rub a handful of clover lying on the stone called "Puck" Gargantua ", outside the town, was also another way to protect themselves ... A word to salvation.

Les Dames Blanches. At night it is said that fairies through pastures and crops, followed by floating above the canals taking in hand lighted candles to shine a thousand lights and the drops of wax fall on the white forelock and mane horses, to the surprise of some peasants discovered at dawn horses properly groomed ...

The Fradet. straight out of fairy tales, the elves are mischievous and malicious. They generally like to give back to the condition of not being seen. They protect the flock is still the fattest and most prosperous. But
night, observing the bustle a peasant in his fields, discovered the next day with amazement that his herd had dwindled.

Bunny smokes

is certainly the most enigmatic legend of St. Benedict.
is not known exactly its origin. Remember that St. Benoist was once a port and that the rabbit was far from being the favorite pet of the sailors. So why the rabbit smoking a pipe does it because it (and tobacco in this case) were not imported into France until well after the construction of the church.
The mystery remains unsolved.

Note : These legends are not the only haunt Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer, for more information you can come see us.

Walk in St. Benoist

P o visit Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer, the best season is summer. It is true that the burning summer sun can sometimes affect our comfort, but it is in place this season What the majority of other events in Saint-Benoist and surrounding areas.

course, avoid the early afternoon and prefer early morning or early evening - indeed at these times that wildlife Marsh is the most active.

start with the church. Although it is temporarily under construction until December 31, 2009, you can admire its originality outside.
Romanesque church built in the eleventh century, it will then be restored by Richelieu shortly after the Wars of Religion.
From Town Hall Square, one can notice, on the roof, two sights: first a weathervane representing the French flag blue, white, red, or the separation of church and state in 1905 .
Then the curious sculptures of the famous rabbit smoking a pipe! It may
although it had been added to the restoration of the church by a monk smoking ...

You agree now on the street that descends from the church to the communal: logically "Church Street". On your right, just before the street of the old program, you will find our union leadership and our local library if you want to know anything at all about following your trip or sightseeing in the Vendee.

Let our walk from IF You go right down the street and arrive at a crossroads. If you look on the right you will find the entrance the municipal campsite on the road to Moricq (joint angles). But
Benedictine good tourist you are, you turn left, the direction of the marsh.

A beautiful road lined with poplars offered to you, and takes you to the "balcony on the marsh" (handicapped accessible) platform orientation bénificie a twin, self-service, allowing you to observe the marsh.

Near the interpretive trail takes you on the dike along the canals, where following our mascot "The Stork" you will discover, on a round trip of 3 km fauna and flora of the marshes more closely.

Then continue the walk along the water. Possibility to rent canoes. (For schedules, see SI)

Thus ends your first trip to St-Benoist-sur-Mer. For the gourmet break, I recommend the bar-tabac-restaurant "The rabbit who smokes" Street of the ocean.

I'll see you soon for another tourist trip.

Announcement:
Blog of the town hall has just been created: mairie-stbenoistsurmer.blogspot.com you can find all the information on the town and its council.
